Description

A refreshing no-bake Mexican dessert combining lime-infused cream and Maria cookies.


Ingredients

¾ cup fresh lime juice

12 oz evaporated milk

14 oz sweetened condensed milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

2 packs of Maria cookies

Lime zest for garnish

Lime slices for decoration


Instructions

1. In a blender, combine lime juice, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.

2. Pour a thin layer of the mixture into an 8×8-inch square baking dish.

3. Place a single layer of Maria cookies over the cream.

4. Repeat layering the cream mixture and cookies, ending with a layer of cream on top.

5. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

6. Before serving, garnish with lime zest and lime slices. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding 4 oz of softened cream cheese to the mixture.

Substitute Maria cookies with graham crackers if unavailable.
